Never seen a Daytona on a NATO … until now

I took the RubberB off my Daytona now that July is over

And while the watch was naked, I put on a NATO to experiment. Ironically, it is my Omega NATO I purchased for my (now gone) SMP last summer. The NATO is the nicest quality I’ve seen and I actually think it looks pretty good on the Daytona!

Yes, the oyster is my favorite, and it’s going back on the Daytona today. But the Daytona (black specifically) is quite a strap monster!

I liked the white rubber B combo. Really pops. Good all year.

Not a fan of rubber B or NATO on Rolex watches but whatever floats your boat.

I love nato straps (and the Omega natos are top notch) but the Omega branding on the back of a Rolex would bother me.

I honestly can't say I am a fan... sorry.

However Oysterflex with the smarty end links is to absolutely die for. I can get on board with that any day!

Not strictly against Rolex on NATO but that’s the wrong NATO.

Not a fan of this look.

I like the 5 digit subs and GMT's on NATO straps and the 6 digit subs on rubber. But all other Rolex models I prefer on the bracelet.

It’s actually a good method to use when not wanting to get your Rolex noticed by thieves

Daytonas are already too busy looking. Adding a white strap/NATO/bund/whatever strap is too much.

It’s like a Ferrari with bald bicycle tires.

Nothing wrong with bald bicycle tires but definitely wrong on a Ferrari.

I love the look and I'm totally good with NATOs on Rolex watches... or any watches for that matter.

And while I adore the Omega NATOs and their watches, I'm not much for mixing brands like this.

That said; these are your watches and your straps. Do with it as you like and don't pay attention to what us chuckleheads say on the internet. :D

I’m not sure about the blue, but I think the nato look isn’t bad overall. I would do it, just a different color.

I don't think that's going to work, except in some rare instances.

Thieves know what they're looking for most of the time and a different strap isn't going to throw many off.

This. There’s not much anyone can do to make a Daytona attractive (imo, obviously; I know many will disagree). This… definitely isn’t it. :)

I feel that if it was on a proper bracelet it would have brought some real money

My aversion to NATOs and bunds on most watches...and leather on dive watches...and the whole Oyster-rubber movement, is that it usually just looks incongruous to the watch. I know we all have a different eye...different taste...different sense if style, but "clown shoes" comes to mind.
