FS- Rolex 16800 9 Million Submariner Date Cream Patina Box

For sale is a pre-owned excellent condition 40mm stainless steel Rolex Submariner Date. The 16800 is a 9 million serial, circa 1985, and is accompanied by the Rolex box but no papers. The Rolex features a brushed steel case, which is accented by a unidirectional steel divers bezel that is set with a black aluminum insert. The Submariner is mounted on its original 93150 Oyster bracelet, which is secured by a safety lock deployment clasp. The bracelet contains 12 full size links and will comfortably fit a wrist in excess of 7.5-inches. The 93150 Oyster bracelet is stamped with a “J8” clasp code, which correlates with a production date of August 1985. The Rolex features a black gloss tritium dial with applied 18 karat white gold surround tritium hour markers, tritium coated white gold hands, and a magnified date window aperture at 3 o’clock. The tritium hands and lume plots have acquired a gorgeous even golden cream-colored patina, which presents beautifully in person. The movement used in the 16800 is the Rolex Caliber 3035, which features approximately 42 hours of power reserve. The case on the 16800 has been preserved extremely well and contains even thick lugs with crisp chamfers. The Oyster bracelet has also stood the test of time well and remains in approximately 90% plus condition with minimal stretch. Overall, the Rolex is in excellent condition with the only signs of previous wear being some faint surface level hairline scratches and is a well preserved all original example of a 16800 Submariner.
