Swap OP41 for Air King?

Hello All,

My current collection is an OP41 and Sub Date 41. I am heavily considering selling the OP41 to snag the new air king at retail.

Is this a good move? Would love to get a second opinion

It's very individual of course but I think it's a good trade. Love the new Air-King and look forward to getting one.

If possible I'd not sell the OP and just buy the AK..but that's just me and I am obviously a hoarder!

I prefer the op41. Can’t do that airking dial unfortunately.

Neither ...rather a DJ41 as companion to the Sub/Date .
Polar Expl II also an option as a sports.

Not for me.

The numbers on the AirKing are too similar to the numbers on the Sub (not the style, just the literal fact there are numbers)

I like the plainness of the OP, or as someone else suggested: Get a DJ instead.

I’d stick with the OP41. It is a classic, classy watch for any occasion.

For me, whilst I appreciate some of the details on the Air King, the dial is just too fussy for me

If the air king was the mark 1 .. straight away
Alot of the character was lost with the mark 2

OP41 very basic watch, and if not for the colored dials most would have never bothered with it, nothing interesting. AK is a sports Rolex with interesting dial and history

Swap OP41 for Air King?

I'd swap the OP41 for a DJ41 instead. Add some color and flashy variety.

I’d stay put. You already have the Submariner with a date function and the OP gives you a casual/dressier piece with no date

The AK looks more similar to your sub than the DJ, so I would probably stick with what you have.

Very similar watches. The folding clasp and crown guards would sell it for me.

Air-king

I would keep the OP, more classic and timeless.
