NWA First Breguet!

I have been eyeing the Breguet Marine 5517 blue dial since its release in 2018. That model was in WG, leather strap and came with a beautiful blue guilloche dial. I did not have the funds then.

Then in 2021, Breguet released the titanium bracelet version of the blue 5517 and I registered my interest with my AD early this March. Besides the more affordable pricing, I like titanium watches. Hence decided to forgo the guilloche one of the WG. I reckon Breguet will never release a Guilloche blue of the 5517 in titanium. The call came today and I'm a happy man.

Many congrats!! I absolutely love my Breguet Marine, the brand is far too undervalued and it is a true timepiece connoisseurs brand.

Never noticed Breguet as a brand until I started looking at the higher end. They really do make some beautiful watches. Nice choice.

Great pickup! I never take mine off now. How do you find the Ti bracelet?

I ordered this watch after reading online news without actually seeing it. Frankly, this bracelet beats my expectation. At first I thought it is all brushed but after I got my watch, I can see that the chamfered part of each connecting links are mirrored polish (the "black polish" in the photo below). It looks and feels premium. And being titanium, it is very comfortable and I am totally not surprised you are wearing it daily. I would too.

Very nice, looks like I’ll have to pick up the bracelet some day though the rubber strap by Breguet is pretty great too.

Very nice piece. My first “nice non-rolex” was a Type XX in 2005. Still have it, but gets zero wrist time.

They are exceptional, but sadly underrated.

Did you actually have to wait and be put on interest list? Did you get a discount?

Agree with you - Breguet watches are very under-rated despite their history and quality.

I placed the order with my AD (at 50% deposit) in March this year and got it in August. In March, Breguet was unable to commit to a delivery timeline with my AD. There was no stock at the Breguet Boutique too hence I went ahead with my AD.
