Underrated alert!!
Well it’s been a long road before I made it to this one. The path has included the 16600, SD4K, SD43 and the 126660 JC. I let all those go. Was sea dweller less and had opportunity for this one. Went for it and mannnnn I love it. Makes me question all my other black divers. I actually prefer the black to the JC for its clean and classic and pure technical look. The way the black and steel/grey blends just works. All I see are comments “it’s gotta be the JC” and I go online for wrist shots and all I see are the JC dial. I get why. But this one deserves more respect IMO. Cheers Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Looking good Rory. Congrats brother.
Not many wrists can pull that beast off but you definitely have.

Love the 126660. I must say I like the JC a bit more. The dial in certain angles look completely black, and when hit by light you some awesome tones of blue.
If I could I would have both! |

Had a black and just scored a JC. Both are great in their own rights. Awesome watch that wears far better than anything that big should. Enjoy and congrats!

It’s a beautiful piece congrats!! That said for me I still love my JC and would pick it again if I could only have one; if funds were limitless I’d love to have this all black version too!

It's a very weighty piece. You really know it's there.

Awesome. And I agree with you. If an AD laid both out in front of me, I'd take black.

I got one when they first came out circa 2008. Wore it daily for three years then moved on to something else. The black dial is certainly the more classic look.

I love the domed crystal. When I see this watch in the wild, it never strikes me as too large.
Congratulations. Looks great. |

Stunning watch
Is this the new 136660? The view of the dial in this pic is so crisp and clear |

I had a standard 116660 for a while but the proportions with the case height and the relatively narrow bracelet on the older model just seemed “off” to me, so I sold it. The newer models have addressed the bracelet width issue which makes a hugely positive different IMO, and there’s no doubt it’s an engineering tour de force. Awesome piece if the height doesn’t bother you.
I also prefer the standard black to the JC. The JC’s dial is beautiful in person but it always just strikes me as a bit gimmicky on what is the hardest of hardcore divers. Congrats on the pickup!

I prefer the all black to the JC, personally. That would also be my choice.

I hear you man. Love the JC also. When I’m in the water I find myself preferring the JC. All other times I would lean black. Also depends on personal style of course. Actually think I’d like to have both also! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
