2022 Air-King 126900

I went to visit my local Rolex AD where my friend works for 26 years. I have a 36mm OP, black dial, and the 41mm OP on order. I saw the new AK “Display only” and I instantly like it. It’s not blingy, pretentious, and has a under the radar look to it. I really like the green second hand, and the gold crown. The dial to me is well balanced, compared to the previous model. I also like that’s it’s not popular in the watch world. Could be because some say it’s not a attractive, some say ugly Rolex. Another bonus is, it’s 40mm, with a brushed oyster bracelet. No polished center links. I asked to be put on the request list for one. My friend said it might arrive faster than the other two I have on order. And he also said he likes the AK, over the two OP I have on request. The AK would be a nice addition to my SS Sub, and 36mm white dial DateJust. Now waiting for the call.

Anyone have the newer AK, and how long was the wait? Thank you.

My AD said there might be a AK coming soon. There’s a small delivery on the way.

Go for it!

I just picked one up recently and I think it is fantastic! I waited about 1 month for mine.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Waited about 6 weeks. It’s kinda killed my desire for other Rolexes. No kidding.

I do like the changes they have made. This thing would look ridiculous on a green rubber strap. I'm on the hunt for a solid no date three hander, I'm sure it will be a Ranger, but I wish it was one of these instead.

It is better than the previous iteration. I hope it continues to evolve. I have a 39mm Explorer so it would be a little redundant in my collection.

I love that’s it’s different, and you don’t see many on wrist.

It was about a 5 month wait for me.

And I have to say, it is probably one of my favorites. Well worth the wait! The 2022 model is SO much better than the previous model, in my opinion. Between the crown guards and the "05", it now has a very balanced look to it.

Over a week and no comments on the return of the plastic shipping case? Are we back to just talking watches or something?!

I don't think AK is for me, but from this photo it almost look like the dial is navy blue and I kinda dig it haha
