Strap maker recommendations

I am really enjoying my 233 and am interested in trying some non-OEM straps.

Looking for both tang and deployant options.

Any suggestions for hornback and/or navy alligator straps?

Would also be interested in cordovan/horse hide straps.

Any experience with Kyros straps? They do not make any of the above, but they have an impressive marketing presence, are their straps as good as they look?

I can say that Kyros makes beautiful straps with excellent workmanship. I ordered two a few months ago and love them both. The quality is superb. The communication is excellent as well. Here are a couple of pics of the Kyros I have.

Another vote for Aaron Bespoke, had a beautiful gray ostrich one from him for my old 422. Top quality.

If you like croc straps Ted su has very good quality but workmanship is on off. You have to specify what you want exactly.

I prefer the thick chunky leather. If you have the right fit, it feels like a hug

Simona (Di Stefano) and John (Dangerous 9) for croc straps, with John probably a better bet for horn back (as per above, Ted Su also does horn back). Also, check out Micah (Vintager straps) - he’s not well known for his croc straps, but he makes some “rugged” ones.

Enjoy the hunt for the right one for you.

I like Gunny strap (on the PAM 000, strap on Seiko is something else)

My advice isn’t very broad as I’ve only ever used Simona for my straps but the service and the straps have always been so fantastic I’ve never seen a need to stray, I have to say OEM straps although not very hard wearing are also fantastic.

1st AMG, thank you for the pics, love the light one a lot, certainly put Kyros on my radar, can I ask which strap that is?

I’ve literally just acquired, in the last 15 mins in fact another Simona strap, after her passing I couldn’t not grab one of her beautiful creations while I still can.

Thanks, the lighter one is called Buttero Cream Soft leather strap...the SKU code is BCRLS. Happy shopping!

How did you get one? Their website has been down since her death...
