WT bezel is pretty darn cool! If we could easily bezel swap.....

Maybe Rolex should consider this for their next model.

My favorite out of all their projects!

It resonates the most with me since I travel a lot as well.

The full openwork is too much.

Put a nice dial on it and do a small cut out.

It took me ten minutes to find the ghost GMT hand; I didn't see the second hand at all until I looked really closely and saw it aligned on top of the minute hand. The clutter would drive me off the wall.

Agreed, but a WT bezel swap on a normal GMT would be cool imho.

Nope.

Usually like what they create (would never buy though) but that's not it.

I might be dense, but I don't get the point of an adjustable city bezel combined with a 24h hand (as opposed to a 24h wheel around the dial) - especially on a IAHH watch. Is that supposed to tell the traveller wearing the watch what city he happens to be in, or what city his home time is in?
Or does one just have to remember to turn the bezel one click every hour to make it actually functionable as a world timer?

Very hard to read. Supports the notion that you don't wear an expensive watch to tell time.

Well I'm just going to come right out and say it - with the exception of the world time bezel insert (which does look good), it's utterly utterly hideous.

Unreadable hand set (with a basically invisible GMT hand), the cyclops looks terrible over the skeleton dial, hideously butchered case flanks, tacky caseback. It's hilariously vile!!

Plus let's be honest, a skeleton dial on a Rolex is like pairing dress shoes with a tracksuit!

Their other projects are masterpieces. This one, while certainly interesting and incredibly complex, isn't my favorite out of all of the other ones they feature on their website.

Just guessing, but they probably just meant the State of Mexico, or Edomex (Estado de Mexico), which is the largest of the 32 Mexican states and is where Mexico City used to be located before Mexico City became its own state a few years ago. The entire State of Mexico (and a good 75% of the entire country in land mass) is within the central time zone and everyone just refers to it as Mexico, since they already know they are in the country of the same name.

In a way, it's sort of like New York, New York. It's a city within the state, and if you are in Long Island and you say you are going to New York, you are obviously already in the state so everyone knows you are going into the city. Our friend from Michoacan tried to explain it to me while we were there visiting and I think I got it, but I'm no expert.

Either that or they just didn't have room to add "City" like you said! Ha ha!
