The oldest man in the world died today
113 year old WWI veteran Henry Allingham died in England today. May he rest in peace. When he was still among the living he was asked what the secret of his extremely old age was. His answer: "cigarettes, whiskey and wild, wild women!". (Please take my enthusiasm with a large grain of salt). Hurray! There still is hope I don't have to gnaw on lettuce and drink mineral water all of my life
In the article the answer of the 116 year old Grigori Nestor to the same question was quoted: "the reason I am this old because I never married and thus wasn't subjected to the nerve-wrecking strain of family life".

I read this Heros's bio. During WW I he fought in the air as an observer and gunner. He fought at sea in the Battle of Jutlands and he was a machine gunner in the trenches. Amazing he survived it all.
R.I.P. finally. |
