Suggestions for Tokyo watch-tourism?

Hi all,

I am heading to Tokyo in December to catch some snow and I would appreciate any suggestions for watch-tourism. I don't have great expectations but any suggestions for ADs or preowned shops or neighborhoods to do some watch-looking and perhaps try-outs will be very much appreciated.

I am, of course, mostly into Rolex but also a fan of AP, Patek, VC and JLC.
Thank you

My friend went to Japan and he told me that there are a lot of second hand watch dealers in Shinjuku area.

Nakano Broadway is a must - Jack Road & Kame-kichi have great selections.

Housekihiroba in Shibuya was a nice stop during my last trip in 2019.

Lots of shops spread throughout Shinjuku and Ginza as well. Can also check the watch section of Yodobashi Camera.

GMT - J in Shinjuku recently refurbished, one of the best places for modern stuff, mainly mint Rolex. Really good selection.

Commit Ginza: Awesome guys, very low prices,
great for higher end stuff from AP Patek and ofc Rolex.

Ginza Axis: Occasionaly some great deals and ready to negotiate.

Other than Grand Seiko at Ginza, I probably would not be looking at watches but will spend time at Carmille Fournet and Jean Rousseau for watch straps.

I've been visiting Japan since 1989 (maybe 30 - 40 trips total) and have only ever left the country with new Seiko or Grand Seiko watches.

Ginza Rasin. They have 3 stores within a 5 minute walking distance in Ginza - one is a 2-storey Rolex store. They had everything there…I had never seen a 1016 in the flesh and finally saw one at that store. Customer service is great!

The second store is much smaller and Patek only. The third store is a decently-sized boutique for all other brands.

Looking forward to going back to Tokyo and check out Shinjuku and Nakano Broadway.

All the tourists go to Nakano and Shinjuku, and even they can get decent deals now with the weak yen and tax-free purchase. Good luck at customs!

I've been to multiple secondhand luxury shop called "LIPS" - they have an ebay store and you can find their offering on Chrono24, with multiple photos. There is also a tourist discount (similar to VAT refund of 6 or 8%). Especially with how strong the dollar is now - Tokyo watch shopping is a no brainer. They will have multiple branches - you may be able to request that they move the inventory to the Tokyo branch if you are not going to multiple cities.

Got preowned Lange 1 Time Zone and Speedmaster 3592.50 (Hesalite/Sapphire sandwich). The Lange was a great price, and the Speedmaster reference was hard to find in US.

If you are going with your significant other - the store has bunch of purses to browse as well.

SHINJUKU → GMT
SHIBUYA → 【宝石広場】HOUSEKI HIROBA
NAKANO → JACK ROAD/KAME-KICHI/NJ TIME
GINZA → COMMIT/RASHIN/QUARK GINZA888

There are many authorized dealer in Ginza, and it is difficult for you to turn around in a day
