Tudor Black Bay 41 to Black Bay 58?

Curious to know how many current Black Bay 58 owners previously owned a 41mm Black Bay, and how much different the wearing experience has been for you? Admittedly, my 41mm BB is a tad chunky, but I’ve become accustomed to it. Went to my local AD yesterday to try on a blue BB 58 (39mm) and was surprised by how light and thin it is by comparison. Any regrets in moving to the smaller version, or has it been no looking back? I doubt I would keep both as they are so similar. The blue on blue is quite tempting. Curious for some feedback from those that have owned or currently own both. Thanks in advance!

If your wrist supports it go for it, I have a 41mm and was looking at the 58 because I like their blue on blue. It looked like a kids watch on my 8” wrist so I passed, that said had it worked I’d be all over it.

As much as I appreciated the lesser thickness and weight… I almost felt as if it was too drastic a difference. I almost prefer the “beefiness” of the 41mm in comparison, although I love the “blue on blue”. Wish I could get my current 41mm in the same color configuration.

Really depends on your wrists and what you like. Sitting at 6.75 theres no way I would wear a 41mm. But i love my bb58

Tudor Black Bay 41 to Black Bay 58?

Had the black bay, and have a bb58, and a Tudor pro. The blackbay felt a little too big. My wrist is around 7. BB58 is by far my favorite size, but the Tudor BBpro gets the most wrist time. The bb pro feels like a cross between the bb58 and the black bay.

For me, the blackbay at 41 plus the thickness was too much. No looking back for me, i would never buy it again. If your wrist is large enough and you like a thicker watch, it’s an excellent choice. If your wrist is on the smaller side and like vintage dimensions, i don’t think you can buy a better watch than the 58 for under $4,000.

I had a Black Bay Steel a couple of years ago. It was a cool watch, but I tired of the slab side pretty quick. It really became apparent when I put it on the green nato. I've flirted with the Black Bay 58 a few times, but I've yet to pull the trigger. I would already have the BB Pro if it were a hair thinner. We are a fickle lot I know.

I would say if you like your current BB, then keep it. I tried on the Pepsi the other day at an AD and it didn't seem as large as I remembered it being. Post a couple of pics please.

I should point out that the top picture is next to my old 39mm Explorer and not the current 36mm. As you can see, the BB is a chunky beast. As I look at these pictures I forget how cool that watch was...I just wish it was about 2mm thinner.

I traded my 41mm black bay for a brand new OP , couldn’t be happier, the black bay is too thick.
