Icon12 Bluesy on my mind

After all the waiting and looking & reevaluating ... I'm leaning two toned .

Never considered this until recent availability issues - opens up another realm .

Is it an old guy thing ? i'm starting to appreciate the looks of a little gold on the wrist .

Always seem to smile a little when looking at a Bluesy .

Now getting to the age appropriate question - In my mind the Gold or two toned watches seem better suited to those of us with some History under our hats [ old guys lol ]

What's the consensus on the " age " thing ?

I bought my first watch as a tt at 18 years old. It was a 36 I wear the same combo now albeit in the 41 size at 32 years of age. I like them.

I’m 38. Bought my first Rolex at 36 and it is a 16613LB that I had wanted for 24 yrs prior to that.

I’m in the wear what you like camp. As long as you like it does it matter if others do?

I too really like TT. Really has nothing to do with age. I too enjoy some gold combined with the durability of stainless. Gold adds variety to a collection made up of just SS watches.

My TT sub came after my SS and I was about 31. I enjoy TT watches. Those that don't usually just have not tried them.

I don’t think it is so much how old you are, but the fact it dates a time when it was very popular. If you love it go for it!

I had a TT watch in my 20s. I just wear what appeals. As to the age thing, it might perhaps have something to do with feeling more financially secure and being able to justify things containing PM, although the SS Rolex market has made a nonsense of this. I think availability is now driving it more than anything. TTs were "easier" to come by three years ago and many still are, comparatively speaking.

I bought my first TT blue Sub at the age of 46, so yeah kind of old I suppose . I do think appreciation for TT comes with age. I used to dislike any bimetal watch several years ago, then I started to like them on other people's wrist. Now I adore some of them, so much pizazz for a bit more money than some hyped steel models, sometimes even less.

I bought a fake bluesy for like $30 in Puerto Rico when I was ~10.

One day, i'll get an authentic one. they're beautiful watches!

I bought a new Bluesy this year at 48. Have been wearing a TT Datejust as a dress watch and a Anniversary Sub otherwise. Sold the DJ and have no regrets. Now I almost always wear the Bluesy. It does get noticed, but only by watch fans.

I have an older 16613 bluesy. I wasn't old when I bought it some 15 years ago, but I guess I am old today. I still love this watch and admire it on my wrist whenever it comes out on rotation, even after all these years. You like what you like.

Go for it because you love it, not because of “availability issues”. Just my two cents.

I'm 53 and was stainless all the way until my rootbeer gmt and now I'm after a bluesy too, I have to say I have always coveted that modelsince day one. I feel full PM is now inevitable.

Never too young or too old for a TT. Kinda cool seeing younger WIS sporting the TT’s.

The bluesy defines an attitude, not an age. It's a fun and flashy, yet tasteful and refined piece. I've seen it on everyone from a 20 year old man to a 60 year old woman. If you are looking for a good time, Bluesy calls shotgun!

I'm in my last year before 40, and surprisingly I'm also starting to look at TT watches. Back to 1 year before, it was literally unthinkable! If I lived in the US, or another country where people seem to be much more openminded with gold watches, maybe I'd be able to pull the trigger. The white lettering on the new bluesy made it very desirable for me!

all depends on preference. I have OCD and I want to have the same colour tone as my necklace. HOWEVER, two tone gives you the flexibility if you have yellow gold stuff

I thought the same thing about the "old guy" thing and 2 tone watches. I Just picked up my new Bluesy a couple of weeks ago. I use it more as my dress watch and wear my SS everyday. I don't think it is an "old guy" thing but I am now 54 Lol.
