I inherited an old Datejust stainless from my father in law. All I see on line say “superlative …” in the dial. This one says “officially certified chronometer”. What is the difference, know very little about Rolex except that I love them. ( also inherited an old role oyster royal precision manual wind). Thanks for feedback.

"Superlative" was added in the late 1950s as far as I know. It doesn't mean anything in particular, and was just put there to look/sound more impressive.
