Tudor 79190B Dallas RSC
I recently acquired a Tudor Submariner 79190B.
I was told by the seller that the watch was running a little slow, and would need a movement service. Since I happen to work less than a mile from Dallas RSC I stopped by today. After inspection by the technician I was given a quote for the below: - Complete movement overhaul - Replace clasp - Crown with gasket - Replace crystal - Replace hands As the hands appear to have been already replaced at one point, I opted in to all recommended service. There is a note on the quote that they will not refinish the case and bracelet. Should have the watch back in my hands some time in January (due to RSC shutting down over the holidays.) What was interesting to me is that the technician stated the blue bezel disc is no longer available, the blue dials are no longer available, and they are having difficult sourcing all the required parts to service the movement. Dial and bezel on mine look alright, and I wouldn't have wanted to replace anyways. I plan on wearing the watch daily, but my question to the group is would you send in to LAWW or RolliWorks to have the case and bracelet refinished? The only reason I would lean towards yes is that the bottom left leg appears to have, at some point, had quite the gash and polishing and is no longer consistent with the other. Pictures below. Thanks all! |
