State of the Collection - EOY 2022

Yes, I know - I have too many watches. I thinned the herd last year and, by the end of the year, it had grown again. Same thing this year. I started by reducing by about 7 watches in the first quarter and it's grown steadily. I hate being impulsive.

There are a few watches here that I really don't particularly want anymore (and am not sure why I bought them), but, most of the ones I'm not that crazy about weren't that expensive, so, I may just end up gifting them to my nephews when they get a little older.

Anyway, here goes:

The Calendars
GMTs & Chronos
Feeling Blue
Earthtones
Silver & Red

Thank you! It's a Black Pyramid Dial.

One of the things that I love about older DayDates are the dials - so many of them were so interesting.

Yup, that's out of this world. Don't sell that.

Sure thing! It's an older Dubey & Schaldenbrand Gran Chrono Astro. I bought it in 2019 on a whim.

It has a 7751 movement in it and, one of the most interesting things about the watch is the finishing on the rotor and movement. A few pics below.

Fantastic collection! I started thinning out my humble collection last year. As you mentioned, I gave some to nephews and other family & friends. I hope to instill in them the love of small beautiful mechanical things we call watches.
Cheers!
