ITS HUGE
but in all honesty, I really think these were made more as trinkets for an office or display somewhere. Who's really going to lug that around on their wrist? |

To be honest the size at 50mm is obviously on the huge side but I think it could be wearable for some, a lot of panarai are huge on paper but they’re still nicely executed, The design is just horrible on this particular rolex.

Yep…but the height. It’s just shy of an inch tall. The other dimensions, okay…but the height is just ridiculous. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Completely agree - these were made to push the envelope of technology. The use of Ti here i think means we'll see it used more widely in more wearable models in the near future.

It’s silly. Personally think it’s even sillier it’s not made out of steel

Like its prior version, I don’t think this is actually meant for anyone’s wrist; rather it’s meant for attaching to the arm of a submersible.

Not many watches make the SD43 look “small”

I’m wearing my SD43 right now and I can’t imagine having that thing on my wrist. Those of you who said “ridiculous”, I agree.

Agree looks like something that will be put on display. Much to large to actually wear.

I really don't think Rolex's intention for this watch is daily wear. This is a concept watch made into serial production showcasing their technical knowhow. AMG didn't build Project One to be a daily driver. it doesnt make real sense to stuff a F1 engine in a road car but they did it because they could.

Titanium Sea Dweller VS my SD43
Ultra sort of says it all…
50mm Yet, the use of RLX titanium to create the case and bracelet of the Deepsea Challenge considerably lightened its weight: it is 30 per cent lighter than it would be in 904L. Ti cutouts Massive IRL Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

I love Rolex, but I don’t see this watch being worn other than over a wetsuit.

And of course there are considerably cheaper, and infinitely better options for actually wearing over a wetsuit for diving these days.

Not sure why there are multiple threads on this topic.
- Yes it's big - No it's not meant to be worn Rolex owns the ocean and needed a prop for each AD. Omega owns outer space and already had this: |

Thanks for sharing!
That helps eliminate any hint of an idea in this silly mind of mine…. ….That perhaps it’s for me. It is not. Cheers! Just another WIS who loves to trade. IG @bladeandwatch1

This was no prop, watch is for sale, just wanted to show people a comparison between the 2 watches, considering I have a decent size wrist, this watch made my wrist look small. A bit heavier than my SD43 as well.

If that thing were made of steel, you'd need a counterbalance on the other arm to walk normally!!!
