16600 Sea Dweller Clasp - adding a glidelock?

Hi guys,

To cut a long story short, I have managed to find one of few remaining 16600 Sea Dwellers in UK AD's and I am going over to pick it up next week (my first ever Rolex! ) - For those of you who have seen my numerous posts about the DJII I had on preorder, that is going to have to wait for now! (I thought it perhaps best that I could hang on and get it in the future anyway, when there will be [perhaps] more bracelet/bezel and dial options available).

So, my question is this.

1) Is it possible to change clasps (such as this one) on the 16600 Sea Dweller?

2) If so, how easy is it to do (i.e. DIY or AD/watchmaker?) and how would I go about obtaing the glidelock featured on the DEEP SEA? (It is a beautiful feat of engineering IMO).

3) Any idea of cost?

Thanks so much for your knowledge and advice guys, even though I havent posted recently I am reading 5 or so times per day!!

Cant wait for the new baby
