Up for grabs is a Rolex 6262 which were only produced for approximately one year. His parents purchased this watch new and gifted it to their son back in 1972 where he then wore it for around 5 years flying during that time and served in the Navy. After wearing it for around 5 years, he put the watch away for the next 40 plus years. As of a couple months ago, he pulled it out of the safe to pass it down to his son. After speaking with him, the decision was to sell this watch so his son can purchase one that suits his needs and assist with his career.

The owner reached out to me to have it restored and after putting a plan together, we decided to service the movement, replace the crystal with a NOS, and replace the tube and crown. This watch does have all the period correct parts other than the bracelet. The bracelet is a 7205/57 and has a '68 stamp; he doesn't recall what happened to the original.

Dial condition - Very nice with no scratches or marks, however when it was last serviced before putting it away, the watchmaker did press down on the 3 and 4 markers. The Tritium is still there as you can see under the UV light.

Hands - Proper zinc sulfide Tritium and no corrosion. Again, very nice.

Bezel - Proper bezel with a few dings

Case - 6262 Style with serial # 255XXXX putting it at approximately 1970. Case overall is in good condition.

Caseback - Stamped 6239

Bracelet - 7205/57 Rivet

Movement - Val. 727 freshly serviced

This watch comes with a one-year service warranty and the asking price is $55k obo.

Buyer will receive a 72-hour inspection period which he may return minus shipping cost. After the 72-hour inspection period, the watch then belongs to the seller.

Wire payment or check will be accepted, then the watch will be sent out via FedEx overnight.
