SubLV Poll

Since there are a few threads about the SubLV’s, I thought I would create a poll with all 3 included. They are all fantastic watches and there are no losers here! Which LV is your favorite and why? Mine is the 126610LV, like the black dial, bracelet, ceramic bezel, movement and case.

I voted for the 5 digit, purely based on the bezel. I prefer the aluminum coloring to the ceramic YMMV

My favourite is the 116610LV. My dream watch was the 16610LV until I met it. So tinny and flimsy. Not IMO worth the MSRP when it was in production. The 116610LV addressed these shortcomings by a considerable margin. The ceramic bezel insert and the dial lift it that much further, although these were too much for many Sub fans. It didn't look as nice as the 1 series in photos, but for me, meeting one in person was a jaw dropper for all the right reasons.

If I didn't have the 11 I would happily go for the 12 but I don't need both. Given the choice, the 11 is my perfect option because of he dial.

Might be the best 116610LV photo ever!

Kind of you to say, although over the years I have seen some really good ones (and some really bad ones).

I have had em all. The latest LVc looks best in my eyes with the perfect balance of design and color. Rolex got everything right with this particular model.

THE photo that twisted my arm, to trade in my 124060, to get the 126610LV quicker! Thank you sir.

Also have owned all three. 126610 is by far my favorite. The first two had minor design flaws (16610 flimsy bracelet/clasp, unbalanced weight on the wrist, 116610 fat lugs and too much green) that I ultimately couldn’t get past. The 126610 addresses them all and is sheer perfection!

Ranked in order of my personal preference:
126610
16610
116610

I should clarify…I chose the 16610LV because it’s the original, but if I was choosing based solely off wearing the watch; it’d be the 126610LV

The Original; The New Take on the Original; or, The Homage to the Original?

I will take the original. The maxi dial, the perfect old style case, and the perfect anodized aluminum green.

I went to buy the Hulk a few days ago from a local private seller. I was so excited. The night before going to pick it up, I dreamed of the Hulk over and over again. Seriously. Needless to say, I drove home without the Hulk that day. I found it so tacky looking in person. If the sheen on the dial was more satin, then I think it would have been a different story. And green is my favourite colour, and I love all shades of green, but something about it didn’t look appealing anymore. The only reason to have purchased it at that point was due to the hype and it’s discontinuation…no thank you

I’d love to have the 16610LV in the collection but it’s honestly crazy to pay the premium. That leaves the 126610LV. It’s a true evolution of the anniversary. It’s unarguably beautiful, durable, and timeless. It different enough from the LN but not different enough where you would want to have both in your collection. Best of all, one could get it at retail with some effort and patience

Totally agree! I had the black sub date. Too boring everyone that has a Rolex has one. You see them everywhere. Then I thought, let me get something different. I sold the black sub for the Hulk. Then I thought, this is too green. Then I saw the Cermit. That was the one I was looking for! Obviously I sold the Hulk. To me, I found the perfect mix of a watch that was different but not too crazy. This one is a keeper

This is exactly how I feel. LN sub, too plain. Hulk, too green. Cermit, just right.

Exactly how I feel. I loved the 124060, maybe will add again, but the green adds just enough to make it more interesting. Just the right amount of green and I still get that famous Rolex black dial.

SubLV Poll

The original has so many subtle variations you’ve got to love. I’ve seen a few up close and personal with faded bezel inserts that were just so sexy and unique.

The Hulk never did it for me.

The new 126610LV is damn near perfection with that case design, glidelock oyster bracelet, and green ceramic bezel. Couldn’t be one and only though. For that always the 124060!

🤌

Yep thinking of adding back the 124060, agree.

The 126610LV for sure. They combined the best bits of the previous two versions to make the perfect watch :-)

Never a fan of the Hulk even when it was in the cases, funny how a lot of people only started liking the Hulk when it wasn't in the case anymore and trading over retail.

The lugs are perfect on the 12 series Subs, and much prefer the contrast of the black dial to green bezel.
