Help, I have a suspicion that this Rolex Daytona is FAKE, please help.
Please help me identify whether it's fake.
My friend says that this is some kind of NOOB, not sure what that means. He says the strap is a giveaway because it's got a line and no seam. He also says that the print and hour makers don't match... |

Fake.
Quick and easy tell is that the rehaut in picture 2 is misaligned i.e. the letters do not line up with the sector lines on the dial |

tim the easiest tell would be if it's stainless steel rather than white gold? this particular reference comes in white gold; if it not in white gold but steel, there u go. should be easy enough to differentiate gold from steel?

it's gold, take off the strap and weight it. you can find the correct weight reference online. a fake won't be real gold and the weight will be noticeably less.
EDIT: this website lists the total weight as 160g (http://www.thewatchobserver.com/test...nic-than-ever/). recommend cross referencing other sources to confirm, then weigh the watch. |

This looks steel to me. White gold has a slight warmer hue, similar to the dial. Put it on your weed scale. I meant recreational scale.
I think 160g, including the OF and clasp. Whole watch. My YM40 weights about the same. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |

As other members have suggested, weighing the watch should be the easiest way to tell as this particular Daytona configuration only comes in white gold.

Without going into great detail and barring the fact I can’t see it first hand…The dial has a few issues (placement of indices, font, etc.), case (edging/angles look off, pushers incorrectly placed), etc.

No expert by any means but couple things are bothering me with this watch. The hour markers look off. The crown at 12 looks off. And 2nd subdial is not straight and the circles look rough. So do the hands.

Weighing it would let you know right away. When I sold my Breitlings the first thing they did was weigh them.
