Icon20 Deepsea challenged my wrist … who won ?

I wore my skydweller for the visit as well as an Apple Watch Series 7.

Although the Deepsea is made of titanium I did not find it feeling as though it was less weight then other large watches I own.

So who won ?

I was thinking cartoonish (at least, on me), but yeah. I had an Omega Ploprof 1200m mostly for its uniqueness more than anything else. That watch is a beast. This just takes it to a whole new level. My SDDS is as big as I want to go at this point.

Well here it is on my 6" (154mm) wrist, taken 2 days ago. It's big but not heavy. Fun to see what it was like!

Considering how a camera’s focal length affects the represented size of the watch in a wrist shot. I say you must be the size of Paul Wight aka the big show. Only people your size could possibly wear the challenge

I think it looks great! 👍

No need to overthink this. If you like the watch for its engineering awesomeness, and if you are comfortable wearing big watches, do it!!!

It's on the limit for you. What size is your wrist?

Too many people are looking at this watch with the logic that it's supposed to be some picture queen like a Daytona, GMT, etc.

This is a display of engineering and should be worn as such. I think some guys get hurt feelings that their wrist doesn't allow them to wear, similar to the YM2.

I stopped into my AD this afternoon for a chat. We discussed this watch. The don't even have a display model, and he said, so far, no one has expressed interest in obtaining one.

I was searching the “greys “ for this model last night and found 3 sellers priced from $41k all the way to $65k. Has any member purchased grey closer to retail ?

Did you ask the ADs? This model is not a crowd-pleaser, at least based on the response from this forum, so it may be possible to get it directly from the ADs. 🍻

It makes the Sky D look like a DJ36.
