Reentry into Tudor?

Paging all serious Tudor fans. Slow week at work — considering hitting a few Tudor ADs in Manhattan tomorrow. Should I expect to see most models in stock in at least one AD, or probably not? Currently own a Blancpain bathyscaphe, GO Senator excellence, iwc mark XVIII, and omega diver 300m.

I’m a man who appreciates any good watch, but especially versatile sport watches. Small wrist (adjacent to jacked Popeye-tier forearms, though). What’s the best reentry into Tudor? I’ve owned a north flag before. Have also owned a bunch of Rolex but am taking a break from the crown

Black Bay Pro — heard this is overly thick but it looks like a good travel watch that doesn’t need to be babied

Pelagos 39 — tried this on and liked it. Thought seemed similar to a Sub, not sure if I totally “get” the marketing (which involves extremely slender women at hotel pools) but marketing aside it’s a fine watch

BB58 — would likely be looking at the blue model on a bracelet because prefer not having faux patina

I'm a Tudor fan wearing BB 58 blue lately . The Pelagos 39 will be my next Tudor - when ever it 's available . Had original Black Bay - nice but chunky , had the BB58 Original didn't care for the ' vintage ' look . The Pelagos is a great watch - the Blue was too smurfy for me .
No idea what dealer has what in case - probably changes weekly -
If you have a chance to get the P39 I'd grab it -

Reentry into Tudor?

Doubt you’ll see the pro in store or possibly the chronos but would imagine everything else steel sports will be easily available. Good luck!

Your best bet it to go to an AD and test drive every reference that catches your eye and has the features you find important. Once on the wrist you'll probably find out pretty quickly which works best for you.

Enjoy the hunt!

Best advice right there

Also, unlike Rolex, the possibility of trying several references on an AD visit isn't absurd. Most are readily available, with the occasional surprise too.

Thanks all. silver case BB looks very nice. Tudor as a brand has stepped up and is making some nice low-key pieces for a mostly enthusiast audience

BB58 is hard to beat from Tudor in my opinion, I have the blue but black is nice too just have lots of black dials. Pelagos 39 looks great but nit seen one in the flesh. Just purchased a BB harrods and it looks amazing but only available in Harris’s and sadly all been allocated now so no more!
Tudor have some great watches and hard to beat at that price point.

Was at the Atlanta Tudor shop in Lenox mall last weekend, and they had everything. I mean everything, except Pelagos 39. I was surprised, pleasantly so. Just not currently in the market.

Wanted to try on the FXD, but hated to bother the clerk as just a tire kicker.

Most should be ok to get. I have recently seen the white chrono in the window in Scotland (I think it is the most popular model).

My fav of the bunch would be pelagos 39. My main criticism is lack of date which I like in a daily wearer but that is a personal preference.

I’ve had bronze Tudor on my mind recently. That would be very different from my other pieces. But trying them on makes a big difference as others have said.

Black Bay Pro is complete fine in regards to thickness.

Until you’ve worn it for a few days you won’t understand how inconsequential the thickness or weight is.

I’ve worn it with shirts and jumpers, no issues.

I think you should go with the BB pro. For me it’s wear much much better then the Explorer II which I also have.

This is a striking piece. Love the shape and the way the lugs taper down. And at 39mm that’s a great size. But sounds like you all saying it may not be in store to try due to popularity. Worth a try. Thanks for sharing this.

I saw one on the nato strap in AD. I think you can get one very quickly without the purchase history.

That’s true. I saw a lot of chronos in the ADs windows in US and in Europe too.

The pro is great if you are interested in a GMT. Any interest in Bronze? The Boutique 58 is a fun piece that’s different.

Tudors available everywhere in all models at all times. And when you purchase it, and walk out the door, it will be worth about 50% - 70% of what you paid.

That’s what happened with my BB58 925. And I totally love it.

I've been seeing Tudor in the cases recently, too.

I have the BB58 in blue and love it. Being a 5-digit Rolex sports fan, it carries its weight side by side with my 14060M. It's different enough to justify both.

Agree with what has been said about availability. BB58 are readily available all sorts of materials and colors. I have a BBPro and love it. I have small wrists and the thickness is not an issue. Try on as many as you can and get the one you love.

Like most have said, the Tudor cases are looking good. Able to try on all models in various configurations. Bought the wife a white chrono on strap. Hope this trend continues.
Tudor makes a great product.

I can't say enough good things about my Tudor GMT. Throwback and retro styling based off the original 6542, tough as nails, functionally the same as the current model gmt for thousands cheaper, and I can wear it with reckless abandon anywhere.

I've had too many cool adventures and experiences wearing it, so I'll never get rid of mine, and it'll always have a spot in my collection.

I popped into my local AD recently, they had everything available to buy except the chronos and the new pelagos 39. Personally I'm a big fan of the new 39mm range of watches like BB58, pelagoes 39. When watch height is around 12mm the proportion just looks perfect for a diver. If they ever release a 39mm pepsi GMT that's 12mm or even 13mm, I'm there

This is my 2nd Tudor..... There is a difference in quality and feel on the wrist, but not enough to to justify the massive price difference between it's big brother IMHO. The BB58, this Chrono and the Tudor pepsi would make a great modern 3 piece collection
