Anyone know of the PAM40B? x/250
This piece appears to be the first titanium Panerai from the early 2000s. I have an opportunity to purchase one but, it's without papers/box, which makes sense considering the age.
Has anyone come across this beauty? Tritium Dial (that's how old) hah.. Trustworthy seller - Not worried about a fake but - Wondering about anyone's experience. 1/250 perhaps it's just that dang rare...? thanks all! |

I am not familiar with that reference. Are you saying it is a B series?

My understanding was that the 40B was developed to test the waters on titanium watches. I believe there were 200 produced in 1999 and the 177 followed shortly there after in 2002. The 40B is a shadow reference which is why there is not much info on it and it does not appear in the reference listings. That's a cool catch if you pick it up!
