Black Bay Ceramic on Rubber B

For anyone looking for a fitted rubber strap for their Tudor Black Bay Ceramic, I just received the newly released Rubber B strap.

Very impressed and it fits perfectly. Looks amazing and is of the usual high quality Rubber B sells.

Full install including deployant changeover took all of five minutes tops. Spring bar holes lined up perfectly.

I have a feeling this will quickly become by primary strap for this watch

One more thing on the look of the strap. It's weird how prominent the sand blasting effect looks in photos like the ones I posted. On the wrist it's a lot more subtle than that. Looks more like a matte finish with very fine grain. Photos seem to exagerate that for whatever reason. Nice look overall. Not too shiny which I think really works well with the matte look of the ceramic case.

...oh and I'm on the third hole from the end with my 7.5" wrist so this strap should safely work for up to and including 8-8.25" wrist I imagine.

Rubber B I purchased for a BB 58 fit so tight the bezel wouldn’t turn. Same granular look as yours. Hope yours fits better.

No problem turning the bezel. Doesn't feel any different than with the standard strap.

Good to hear. I had to return mine and Rubber B doesn’t like taking returns. Went with Vanguard straps. Looks good on your Ceramic.

Looks great. I like the white accents. I see you have it pictured in both orientations. Which do you prefer?

Thanks Sam. Prefer the orientation shown on the BBR. Accents actually are than, not white, and works super well with the hands and indices on these pieces.

Looks awesome! I got the rubberb for my ceramic right when they released. I looked at it for a few minutes but the tolerances on the oem strap and lugs are tight! I put it away and didn’t get back around to attempting to change it.

Is there a secret to get the oem off or just go at it with a strap tool?

Yes! Dental floss

I had the same issues trying to get the OEM hybrid strap off. Using the dental floss method is WAY easier.

Here is a good video that shows how to remove any strap with dental floss. I highly recommed this for the Tudor OEM straps which are typically difficult to remove and leave almost no room to get the spring bar tool into place. This will also prevent damage to the sides of the strap from digging the tool in during removal.

Go to the 1:10 mark:

Wonderful stealth watch!

I saw the BBC on an orange leather strap and it looked stunning.

Thanks for the compliments. I was really excited when they announced they were putting out a strap for this watch. I've never owned a Rubber B before, but now after wearing it for a few days I see what the fuss is about. They aren't cheap ($250) but you can see and feel the quality. You can also tell they go the extra mile to get the specs right. This thing fits perfect and flush, yet at the same time it's a breeze to install. I love that it's designed to use the OEM deployant clasp as well. I definitely recommend Rubber B for anyone on the fense for ordering a Rubber B for this or any other watch. They put out a really nice product.
