There are so many reasons to like a Tudor Chrono --->

---> Especially if it comes on this bracelet:

It sure looks nice, doesn't it? Take a closer look:

Yes, that's a Rolex Daytona bracelet , and it fits nicely with the Tudor 605 end links:

What could possibly make this bracelet look better?

... A Daytona 16520 perhaps

No... I really like that BLACK bezel. No such thing on a Daytona

Best,

A

Edit: Of course there are Daytonas with a black bezel, and black dial with silver subdials like the Tudor... the Vintage ones.... and the cost of those would be something like fifteen or even more Tudors. The "T" offers a huge amount of fun for the money spent.

The Daytona bracelet w/ polished center links goes great with the polished lugs of your Tudor chrono.
But you're killin' me here. My watchmaker still has my chrono [replacing the pushers] and I miss wearing it. Oh well, your pics will have to do.

I spoke to a chap at Rolex St James a few weeks ago as I was considering a Tudor Hydronaut.

He said that they could get any model of Tudor to order, with a wait of 5 or 6 weeks. You would order through your AD.

He also said interestingly that whilst they were not officially available here in UK at present, that the brand would be re-launched here next year, with a big marketing campaign.

Hope that helps
Ed

Sorry but the model I have is out of production, it was the last of the "Daytona style" models. I bought it brand new from an AD in January, and it had been sitting there for many months (so I got a fairly good price ;-).

You can still buy NIB examples, especially in Germany and Hong-Kong. Try doing a search on www.chrono24.com.

Also, there are absolutely new models, that looks really good! Check out Tudor's site: www.tudorwatch.ch

Best,

A

This is why the Tudor is called the poor man's Daytona...

I did miss your thread. Was on vacation then...

Wonderful, absolutely wonderful Daytona! As I said: A spectacular piece!

And, congrats!

Best,

A

Edit: I see that this was my post number 600, and given the speed I have, it will take a couple of hundred years before the count reaches JJ's. Actually I am pretty convinced that he will always beat me with a factor 100...
