Market 5164a
So interested in a 5164a. My long time Patek dealer no longer sells Patek. So starting over from square one. Will be about impossible to get one from another AD. Market had cooled some. Do you see it coming down another 20-30%? Or leveling out
5164 is hovering $65-80k on secondary market now. Thanks James |

Agreed, seeing them in the low 60s on Moda.
Does anyone remember what they traded pre watch hype?

I sold mine summer 2021 before stuff went nuts around 53k. It was 2018 excellent condition complete.

A lot still sitting in the mid 70s, but doesn't seem to be moving fast. I know won't get at retail. But upper 50s low 60s would do it

The retail for the watch is now 42+tax, in 2020 it was in the low 30s for retail, I think it's unlikely that it would sit in the 50s for a long time. But that being said I am biased towards it.

I got a discount on mine in 2017, $30K from the dealer! Heck, the 15202 and FBJ CB were both under MSRP grey as well! I don't think a 5164 will fall under MSRP unless we see all big watches start going under MSRP (5711, 15202, etc.).

Does the production year matter much in regards to price? 2011 vs 2018+?

Yes… Newer = More Expensive.

I do know of a 2020 that sold for $63k and 2021 that sold for $64k. Both of these were sold about a month ago…

2022+ models have the "new" 26-330 movement in them with hacking feature. If you are able to get one of these, I'd prioritize them over earlier ones.
I also believe they won't be falling to pre-covid levels, simply due to the fact, that they are now substantially more expensive at retail. They were at 34k (EUR) if memory serves me correct pre early 2022 price increase. Now almost 42k here in Germany. |

There are forum rules against price / what it's worth threads.

Because it is about price speculation
