1665 double red

Hello,

I have been looking for a double red 1665 for a long time. in my home country, this Sea-Dweller was offered today.
The condition is visibly a bit battered, but the dial looks intact.
Before I talk to the seller tomorrow, I wanted to ask for your opinion.
If everything here is original, it would be a good basis for work.

Thank you very much in advance.

Alex

For a watch like this you really need high resolution macros. Having said that, the is dial is no good, neither is the insert or case back.

Thank you very much. I have just compared the dial with pictures of authentic 1665. I don't like what I see either.

At this point, is there even any reason? The most valuable parts are fake. Even if the mid case and movement were real, it would cost a ton to get it correct.

all case scratches and marks look synthetic/simulated/contrived. However you want to say but not legit wear marks

No, I don't think there's any reason to bother with this watch any further.
But it is always interesting to see what kind of things are offered.
Thank you for your support.

100% fake - btw the colour and look of the hour markers are the classic incorrect look found on many fake 1680/1665 reds and d/reds.

Yes, I have already run :)
I posted the pictures before I compared them properly myself. It is a private seller from Germany. With ads like this, I always wonder if the seller doesn't know what he's selling or if it's knowingly fraud.

That’s exactly what I thought. Probably a fake case too and added scratches just to look more vintage.

That's hard a hard life, deliberately or otherwise.

If you do find a red, it's a nice dial feature.
