Enough bitchin! CHNR in the house

Picked up a CHNR from one of the local ADs yesterday! Have been looking for a BLNR forever, this was an 'alternate' and a long shot. Never really pictured myself wearing gold of any kind, I've always had SS. I'd only seen it once before and never at an AD - seemed like an incredible watch:
- The brown is very deep 'chocolate' IRL. Sometimes it's almost black.
- Rose gold disappears in some light and simply looks polished, other times it's more pronounced (compare pics)
- Has a slight heft to it while still being very comfortable
- My wife says it's the best looking watch in my collection

It's challenging to photograph since cell phone cameras have auto white balance and make the brown appear "Longhorn orange." But here goes.

Under harsh AD lights:

At home:

PS. Yes I'll eat a big helping of crow now that I somehow skipped the mythical waitlist

Congrats! I know you've been after a GMT for a long time.

Those colors really look great in natural light

Really nice looking watch!

Get prepared to be bitten by the gold bug. Got my first TT and merely months after here I am with a WG Sub. The feel is addicting.

Congratulations. It's a fantastic watch and as you say, more stunning in the metal than a photo can convey.

Yes I've seen your posts on the topic No idea what I'll do if one of my ADs comes through with the BLNR. Must keep this CHNR though, it is my first ever BNIB watch purchased through an AD! (all of my wife's are from AD however, I just started looking for myself as the shortage was ramping up.)

Well yes the WG sub is amazing. It could be the best Rolex in the catalog.

I understand what you mean and I wrestled with the super case lugs as well. Since I had previously owned the LN version I decided I should be ok with it.

Ha! Must admit there are fewer 'rules' being observed else I would have never been called! I'm not a big spender compared to some.

Congratulations!! Such a beautiful piece that I think goes toe to toe with the BLNR. If I didn't have my DD40 in RG, I'd go for this as well!

Congrats! CHNR is a fantastic watch. Like you, I picked mine up after originally searching for a BLNR (& growing impatient via the AD route). Glad I did, as I personally think it's a more polished watch than the BLNR. I may still add a BLNR or BLRO later...but the CHNR is doing just fine as my primary GMT. CHNR is definitely a keeper.

Beautiful choice. I always loved it but when I finally saw one in person my jaw dropped - pictures never seem to do it justice. Congratulations.
