233 Authenticity

Just received this and am still within the 14-day return window through Chrono24, if anyone is able to help further put my mind at ease regarding authenticity before the 2 weeks is up that would be greatly appreciated. I have called around and unfortunately there is no local shops that can provide an official authentication. I wound the watch to probably 90% on Friday and its sitting around 50% today so the PR seems to be reasonable. I have no reason to question the authenticity but wanted to confirm that I am not missing anything.

Thanks in advance, and thanks again to all of you who steered me in the direction of a 233, absolutely the right decision!!

Have you tried punching in the serial # on the Panerai services site? Services.Panerai.com

I know this could also be faked but it would be reassurance to me if the serial # was found in their system. The next step is to take it an AD near you and see if they can authenticate it that have a seasoned watchmaker

I did check the website and it checked out. Like you said, that can be faked as well but one less reason for concern.

Unfortunately, the local AD does not have a watchmaker than can authenticate it

If you bought from a reputable place you are likely fine.

You're fine. That is a good looking 233.

Have fun with it!

If you’re in the GTA I’d drop in to the Pam boutique at Yorkdale

I'm in Calgary, the only AD is Brinkhaus, but I was told they don't have a watchmaker so wouldn't be able to authenticate.

Same here at the Boutique in King of Prussia, PA. We would need to send it to Panerai in Switzerland for $400 to get a COA
