Do you think the destro 126720VTNR will be discontinued this year?

Seen a lot of VTNR incomings this week. Makes me nervous the destro VTNR will be discontinued after one year in production. I know a lot of people would be much happier with a standard configuration, but I do not fall under that category.

Anyone think this will happen?

The next step would be a standard right-hander....but this is Rolex we're taking about.

It could, but don't let 2 or 3 TRF incomings convince you of it.

No idea. Unlikely, but only Rolex knows.

from the Rolex website will they launch standard configuration VTNR

The Cerachrom bezel insert features an original colour combination: black and an exclusive green that is reserved for this model.

Mind you they said that about the Jubilee bracelet when they launched the BLRO!

Purely a guess but I think it'll continue to be produced alongside a standard VTNR version this year.

I doubt it very much after just a year in production, but we will find out next week!

I would not think so. I have seen the pictures of one with the crown on the other side and I actually prefer that one to the Destro.

No. It is a new model and seems to be quite popular also.

I think most of the disco threads are based on speculative or wishful thinking, whereas what Rolex produces or continues to produce is very much based on objective data.

So, no.

I can’t see it being discontinued…It would however be very Rolex-like to simply release a normal version in the VTNR and release it as a “new” watch.

They tested the waters with Pelagos LHD and dived in with VTNR. Why would they end an (apparently) very popular streak now? Patek was quick to follow into what I think has been a surprisingly abandoned niche in the past.

I wouldn't be surprised to see other brands introducing their 'lefty' models, though also wouldn't bet on it this year.

I just pick mine yesterday, very happy very cool watch, idk if the will discontinued this model, but nobody was waiting for this destro, and nobody knows what would happen in one week, some says it would be a normal VTNR and destro others says no VTNR ..... but for example take the OP Rolex discontinued a quite few colors from the catalogo from one year to another so take that in mind

Yes I do. It’s quirky like the Stella dial OPs that were quickly discontinued in certain sizes.

Don’t put much stock into it, but could see the VTNR in current form changed to a right-handed model or on a different bracelet in terms of “discontinuation”.

It really isn't Rolex strategy or marketing practice to discontinue models after just one year. I wonder why this rumor persists. It would be a sharp new turn for Rolex and maybe an admission the model was a dud, which it obviously is not.

This. The OP colors that were discontinued after 18 months were allegedly having quality control issues. I can’t think of a single model or even dial color lasting just one year. I say zero chance.

Seems like a lot of design effort for a 12 month run...

I think it's going to be around for a bit

Plenty of lefties out there that might still be interested and unable to receive allocation just yet. That said, Rolex do as they please and us mere mortals will find out when they decide we can know.

No

Releasing a popular option one year, then discontinuing it the next doesn't seem like a good business decision, why would you think otherwise?

I’d vote no given the newness and the popularity of the watchz
