GMT Bezel platinum question
Hi Guys
Does anyone know if Rolex can refurb a bezel insert for a 126710LN ? I am interested in buying one from a contact and the numbers have lost a lot of the platinum deposits on the numbers. if not it'd do my head in and the cost of a replacement would make it a bad deal. cheers

Don't think Rolex will refurb the bezel - they will trade against a new one and give some money back for the old one (I believe).

They will replace, not repair.
Have yet to see the platinum wear off a bezel. Yikes!

I'm just asking....how does that happen? also, just asking, are you sure the numbered area are not just full of some type of grim? Wearing off seems very odd to me. As previously mentioned they will replace it, not repair. I want to say I have heard $1500, but I'm not fist pounding certain of that number.

Where’s the picture. I’m betting you have gunk covering the platinum, not missing platinum. Give it a good soaking in hot soapy water and scrub with gentle toothbrush.

I didn't know there is/was a 12670LN. Do you mean 116710LN?

I recently had my 116710 serviced in Australia, the quote included a new bezel insert (the original was chipped). The cost of the new insert was $230 AUD. At the moment one AUD is around 66c US.
