DAYTONA gold green dial

Hi guys have bought a few Rolex from A.D.My ultimate aim was to get a DAYTONA gold green dial.According to A.D it is next to impossible.Looking at TRF
Trusted sellers and other big grey dealers can’t find any listings in their websites.Chrono has some but the prices are way higher. You guys think the grey dealers are holding it back since it is rumoured to be discontinued so they can ask much higher prices. Any thoughts

Every single year they (grey dealers) predict it will get discontinued and subsequently hold back their inventory. One day they are going to strike gold and raise the price through the stratosphere. Now a 116508 JM is approx $90-100k? If it really gets discontinued after W&W then it will be a minimum of 130k overnight. I suggest if it really gets discontinued, look elsewhere at other models rather than throwing hard earned money away.

This reference can be had in the low $70s right now on the secondary market. While I own and appreciate this watch, I would have to argue that it’s still overpriced at this point

Every one has a liking for certain things.i wanted to buy it preferably from ad because I liked it. Not for investment but to wear it and enjoy it.For Rolex making a black dial or a green dial is not a difficult process. But when prices in the secondary market go senseless Rolex May decide to discontinue it.

I'd wait a little while because the grey prices are easing. It might be your only option.

I own one
Its beautiful
But hard to wear and probably doesn’t suit my life style ( office work, young kids/soccer on weekends, etc)

Wore it maybe 5 times but do look at it on daily basis

Unless your wardrobe goes well with a 18k yellow gold & green watch how could you possible wear it?
Now yellow gold & Levi’s blue or ice blue would really pop with everything...

I have many Rolexes, this YG Daytona with Green dial is the most gorgeous of all. If you can get it at MSRP or 25% above, it’s worth it but if it is way too high, I think it’ overprice.

Grand Caliber, grey dealer in Dallas has one. They are solid guys, bought some pieces from them in the past. Ask for Nico or Vic

IMO the JMs are hard to find just bc there isn't many around compared to the ceramic version. My dealer took a full month to source it (verses 1-3 days for other watches). That just told me that
1. the watch is popular and
2. people are holding.

Regardless, I hope you find it and for a good price bc they are indeed hovering between 70s-80s.
