Oyster Precision Royal Bracelet Repair?

I have a ~1953 Oyster Royal Precision ref. 6426 with the original riveted bracelet.

The bracelet is stretched out and needs repair. We've got some great shops here in LA but I haven't been able to find anyone who repairs these. Any ideas?

Also, does anyone know of a decent aftermarket/third party bracelet that I could use in the meantime? I have some straps for it, however it would be nice to have a temporary oyster bracelet as well. I believe it would need one that matches the 19mm 78350 bracelet with 557 end links.

In the meantime I would just get a leather strap. You can call Rolliworks. I know they have parts for rebuilding rivet bracelets. You will have to ship the bracelet to them. It will probably cost you around $500 to have it rebuilt but when its done it will look and feel brand new.

This.

I wouldn't waste money on an AM bracelet. Just have your bracelet restored and wait for it.

Rolliworks does specialize in bracelet repair, but they are across the country in Florida.

You might try LA Watch Works in Pasadena and see if they do this or have a more local source.

Loads of replica 78350 Oyster bracelets or indeed Jubilee style on eBay and similar sites for £40-£50 and you can also find replica 557 end links there as well for £20-£30. End links don’t always fit brilliantly but a competent jeweller can shape them and grind them down for you to fit. I speak from experience as I have just had my Father’s 1969 7426 restored with folded link 7835 bracelet. I don’t want to put the bracelet back on as it is getting on, has been polished beautifully and I want to preserve it for the future. The replicas in most cases are pretty good and although some would see it as sacrilegious, I really couldn’t see the point in paying over 20 times more for a genuine 78350. Good luck and post some more pictures of the watch / dial please!

Personally I would just buy a 78350, with the appropriate end links, and place the original in the box. I am sure your AD will be able to obtain one from Rolex.

Thank you everyone for the replies! I will reach out to Rolliworks. Unfortunately not even LA Watchworks here in Los Angeles repairs bracelets so it is off to Florida we go! :)

Alternatively, nice ones do come up from time to time on EBAY. Just post here so the experts can take a look prior to purchase. Fakes abound…
