Is this watch actually a Rolex

Chap here claiming he lost the paperwork of this watch he claims is a genuine Rolex he would like to sell for 1000 dollars cash. How can I be sure it's not a fake?

There is no picture attached, but even without seeing it for a price of $1,000 I can guarantee it is either fake or stolen.

I think you have to have 10 posts(?) to load a picture, if you really would like it checked out post a bunch of posts in here then when able, show the pic. (Mods or anyone else please correct me if I am wrong).

Can you tell us the model name? It should say right on the dial.

Unfortunately it only has Rolex on the white dial. It is a females watch.

Sounds less and less likely, but go to Rolex.com and see if it looks like any of the authentic models.

Thank you. I'll pass on this, it sounds too suspicious, the watch has the box, has some wear but due to having nothing else on the dial but Rolex and no paperwork, I'll save my money. I appreciate your help!

OP - are you really expected us to tell you whether a watch is real or fake without any knowledge or even a picture of the watch? What were you thinking when you posted?

OP, you can use something like IMGBB to post a picture. It's a free image upload/hosting site, and then you can paste the BBCode link here.

That said, I'm pretty sure we can guarantee it'll be a fake as no-one of sound mind is going to sell a Rolex for $1000 these days.

I think the OP was asking for advice on how to get a watch in his possession authenticated as real or not. I'd say take it to a Rolex Authorized Dealer, they should be able to crack it open and tell in a heartbeat.

Yeah, you can upload pictures here, and if it's obviously a fake the knowlegable folks here will say so. But if it's not obviously wonky, you'll get 10 people saying fake and 10 saying genuine. So THEN you go to an AD and have them tell you, lol.

No one.....NO ONE has a Rolex and doesn't know what they have. This may work with grandma's china, but if you think you have something valuable, you get it authenticated and an appraisal. Too good to be true = garbage!

Anybody can attach an image using the paperclip attachment icon. The file needs to simply meet the size requirements for the file type.

I say this is legit. It was the sellers mom’s. Nobody’s going to use their mom’s name in vain for a scam.
