Tudor Submariner Circa 1962 Exclaimation Dial . . . Please post yours too

An interesting year during 1962 because rolex decides to reduce the radium level used therefore the exclaimation point dial at the 6 o’clock harsh mark was to indicate lower radioactive

It’s all about the little small details that makes it little rarer and more interesting.

Come on and join in :)

TFW!

That's a beauty - the dial is holding up brilliantly. I'm sure that Linesiders will have a picture or two he can share - unfortunately I've only got a 1959 - so no exclamation point for me!

Terrible Hubble telescope photo - But a few small rose 7928’s incl an underline, exclamations, gloss and semi-gloss in both silver and gold text and I think one is a 7016 69 small rose....

Turo -very nice. For a relatively short run the 7928 has so many variants. I

The two I have are siblings. The eagle beak is from 1959 and the brown one a year or two later.

I view both watches as being very honest watches that are nearing retirement age (65). On the 1959 I particularly like the strength of the case. It does make my geiger counter scream though.

Lets see some more gems!

I tried to talk him out of the tropical one but he wouldn't let me. And then he got the Eagle Beak which is just amazing. But if I bought that it would need to come with a divorce lawyer.

You absolutely crushed those two my friend!

I have just gotten this one back from service last month. After owning this for over eight years, I intend to list it for sale.

I have another pointed crown guard (MN issued) which is getting completed, and I can't keep them all.

Thank you, Ben.

The interesting point in here is there are several different types of lume from 1959 to 1963 just shown in this thread.

I don't have one of those now, but at one point I had a loose dial for one

Thank you, I don’t have an original bracelet for it. I have a 93150 I’ll wear it on maybe. Or my 9315 on special occasions.

It looks so good on a nato.

Yours looks awesome, I follow you on instagram I believe. I want to get a vintage strap for mine. I’m pretty sure you are one of the reasons I bought a 7928.

I was very tempted to leave the original hands in - it’s truly amazing how matching hands will bring a watch together. It’s hard to tell in photo, but the original hands were quite a bit darker.

Cheers Tekno yours too. Yes, I think the 62/63/64 are, which are on bottom row.

Not managed a Square Crown guard version yet - got close to deal but it always fell apart ...
