Icon19 Dilemma: YM40 slate or blue dial?

After some back and forths and taking into consideration some of the forum's kind suggestions, I think I will pull the trigger on the YM40-126622 to accompany my Expl36-124270. However, I am split on the dial selection; blue or slate? What is your view?

This. It's the next one I'm waiting on from my AD, actually.

When they were released the blue was more popular by far. I feel that gap has narrowed dramatically and may sway slightly over to the slate side. very much 2 different looks on the same watch.
For me I chose the slate at release over the blue.

Prefer Slate and the baby blue accents. But you can't go wrong with blue either. Both are winners.

I love the blue dial but I’d buy the slate. At least before the blue.

You can’t go wrong with either. I have Blue and love it, friend has Slate, and it looks amazing too. Look at both and just go with your gut.

I was offered both and eventually picked Blue. I love it but I'm always thinking of the Rhodium dial in the back of my mind.

Love the blue and the contrast that it makes. Lovely Watch in any case (or dial)

Slate/Rhodium is one of the best dial colours currently, no brainer. :)

Blue dial with the red text and second hand are stunning to me. The slate and baby blue is good, but doesn't have the same appeal to me!

Patiently awaiting the Blue Dial YM40

Rhodium for sure.

I’m not a fan of how the light bezel insert makes the dark blue dial feel small.

Slate ...

That Miami blue seconds hand really pops against that dial.
