Explorer II Ref 16570 Bracelet Questions
Educate me on Oyster Bracelets Please. My Explorer II Ref 16570 with stainless Oyster Bracelet (pics below)
How many links does it come with. Mine has 10, 6 and 4. I would think 5 and 5 would make more sense? See pics am I counting correctly? My wrist is 7.6" with 10 links and the latch on largest of 4 holes, with a loose fit ( but not too loose). Where can I get another link if needed (genuine). I assume Rolex is the first choice.... https://photos.app.goo.gl/u6dFtrypgnbXdqde7 https://photos.app.goo.gl/GsuJMGkDJSycNsi5A |

Generally the Exp II comes with a bracelet that has 13 links or the 93150 that has 12. You can put the removable links on whichever side you want them on; both halves are the same.

8 permanent links, 4 on each side. 3 removable links 2 screw links that are used on each side of the clasp to attach to the rest of them. So, it depends on how you count. 11 if you completely disregard the clasp, but you can't really do that - so 13, including the clasp, both halves, and 3 removables. You could go further and say 15 if you include the end links.

Very useful information. Thank you. I have another question related to the 16570.
Does anyone know if a modern 97200 bracelet from a sub (116610 / 114060) would fit on my Explorer II? My case has holes but solid endlinks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Why your Explorer II has an Sub 16610 clasp ? Clasp in the Explorer 16570 should be shorter .

I also have an explorer 16570 bracelet question.
During the 2001-2003 transitioning years from the T-III to IV (new movement and no hole SEL bracelets) did the last run of drilled (holes) case watches ever leave the factory with drilled SELs . or were all SEL’s (mates to a drilled case) all solid without access to the spring bar? I’m looking to buy another 2003 Y serial number “drilled case” watch with SEL. But the end links have the access windows to get to the spring bars. Everything I have read state these SELs should be solid without access to the spring bar. I’m assuming these SEL‘s were swapped out or factory or ? |

Let me add on to the questions on this thread. I lost the 6olock side of my bracelet. I’m in the process of looking for one 78790(thank you for putting that chart at the top.) my q is, the end links the replacement that I’m looking at is a u2 code clasp, will that work? I saw some were coded “801”. My watch is an A series 16570

I’d like to hear more on this too from someone who’s put a 97200 on their ExpII. My Z serial has SEL and no lug holes…tried fitting up my GMTc bracelet, and the “lip” that mates on the backside of the case is much thicker than the 78790A original. Will a 97200 have a thinner lip or will it be thicker and extend past the case?
