Any new conclusions on the tudor rose sub?

Will a 1969 tudor rose sub have a t < 25 one the bottom or swiss time or something else. I want to know if a dial was redone or not. I see sooo many tudor rose subs (images and galleries in TRF) with t < 25, and no comments are given on the redial. Or am I mistaken, is that one of the acceptable/agreed variations up to this date? d

I posted this on the Military Watch Resource. Applies here.

some of the comments made by others above.....correct....on OLDER reps.

Newer fakes are NOT so easy to spot.

Do a search under my name and a few posts of mind on fake tudors will pop up.Others have also posted about them.

If it's a 7021/9401/9411/76100/79090 you are safer then a 7928 or a 7016.

If it's a rose dial be cautious. Based on the time frame you state, it will be either a 7928 or a 7016. There are some tells on these fakes. Easy to spot (if you know what to look for).

Some quickies:

1. As stated, dial will say T Swiss T. Rolex reserved the Swiss T<25 for the big brother subs.
2. Insert: If it has an aftermarket, start questioning right away. If the pearl isn't an acrylic pearl but a blob of lume, start questioning right away. If it is in pristine condition, start questioning right away.
3. If the lume looks like yak piss, start walking away.
4. If the engravings don't look like engravings but laser etchings, start walking faster.
5. If the case looks to be in great shape, start a slow run.
6. If the serial # has a 522XXX or a 737XXX run fast and don't look back.
Follow the link for some shots of the fake 7928 and 7016's.

7928 Sub is my fovorite out of them all. Here's a few I've saved and an Air-Tiger.

2 on the right are 1964 NON POINTED CROWN GUARD UNDERLINES. "T SWISS T" below 6 o'clock. Very close serial numbers.
