60ies Gold Rolex - Genuine Dial?

Dear Forum members,

I found this watch and I am thinking of purchasing it.
I've noticed the word "datejust" on the dial is not parallel to "oyster perpetual" in the line above. It makes me wonder if this is a hand painted after dial.

Do you think this is an original dial? Have you seen this before? I would appreciate your feedback!

.
Welcome to the Forum.

Barring a better picture, I would say redone.
Some sloppiness on the letters CHRONOMETER CERTIFIED, and on...

These dials are not expensive, you can always get it swapped out.

Yes a repaint - I'd pass on it unless well under £2k...

Thank you for your feedback! I greatly appreciate it.
Unfortunately I can't upload a better picture. It's because the max image size is 270kb in this forum.

Could you please advise where I get an original 26mm dial from the 60ies? Many thanks.

eBay may have them upwards from £200 - if you look between the top lugs you'll have the model number - search using that.

Or even cheaper, search by Rolex 26mm dial or by your model (6917), if that is the model. They fit accross other 26mm dials.

Good luck!
