GS Deployant Clasp question
On the GS site, under straps and then clasps, you see the option for a 16mm or 18mm deployant clasp - sold out currently. I was able to order the 16mm from a boutique and received it in a nice presentation box, pouch, etc... easy to install, comfortable, excellent experience with the boutique.
What I don't understand is why it's brushed and not polished. Many if not most GS models (correct me if I'm wrong) are high polish, but this clasp is brushed finished with only two flanks along the GS logo portion of the buckle being polished. Part number is: XGN00116J. Color is listed as silver. I inquired with the boutique after receiving and they said that is the only option, there are not different finishing options. Am I the only one that finds this odd given the high polishing on most of their models? Does anyone have any additional info as to why this is or if the info I've been given by the boutique is incorrect? Thanks, |

There's a different 16mm deployant that has more polished parts - the one that includes a metal minder loop. Think Seiya sells it, along with the typical eBay and Chrono24 sellers
