My first Rolex, advise needed please. Rolex explorer 114270

Hello, please could I have some advice if possible.

I have recently bought a Rolex explorer 114270 2005, from my father in law. It comes with the original paper. It was purchased from Right Watch Hong Kong.

I want to buy a box and manuals/ hand tags etc to go with it. I’ve seen a few sets of manuals on eBay.

I assume the original manual would’ve been in Chinese rather than English? Or could the manuals of been in English?

Regarding boxes, I’ve seen lots of different ones but unsure on which to buy. The watches paper is dated 31st October 2005. So I think I need the slightly newer box.

Really appreciate any advice given!

A lot of manuals will have multiple languages printed in the same book. So I don’t think there is a Chinese only manual.

The manuals and boxes are not manufactured by Rolex. If you are trying to replicate an original Rolex box, papers, etc. for your own pleasure, then any source you are happy with will do. But, if you ever consider selling/trading your watch, you would have to disclose that the box/papers are not original to the watch. Personally, I'd forget it and get a nice box that may hold other watches safely.

Agree.... it would be nice to add to the set, but if it isn't original, potential buyers would have to be told that up front.

I'd just buy a nice box to store it in as well.

This is my Explorer 114270 from 2004. I believe it’s a ‘full set’ and the box and calendars seem to match the date of the watch.

Good luck
