FS: 1996 Vacheron Constantin Mercator 43050 with VC Service and Extract
Description: Outrageously good looking watch and rarely seen in the wild!
Brief history… a jubilee model as a tribute to Gérard Mercator, a cartography who became famous for his contribution to mapping the world during the 16th century. The Mercator was in production 1994 to 2004 with a total of 638 units and powered by the ultra-thin self-winding caliber 1120. Learn more about the history of this watch via a wonderful piece written by @watchesbylogan — A History Of Alternative Time Displays At Vacheron Constantin. Read it here. Looking at the condition the dial and hands are immaculate with the beautiful case also in great condition, a very iconic shape/design from the period. Light signs of polishing consistent with the service report showing VC carried out their ‘shining’ service - hallmarks and engravings all deep and visible on the watch (see pics below). Altogether an extremely beautiful piece in wonderful condition ready to be enjoyed for years to come! Service papers document a hand being replaced at service. The watch is accompanied with the 2 year international warranty from VC and VC Extracts from the Archives. Price: 33,950GBP inc fully insured worldwide shipping. Watch located in London, UK. Payment method: Bank transfer only. Returns: Returns accepted if not genuine.
