First solid gold Rolex should be a DD imo but get which one you like best

My first Rolex was a Day-Date, you should get the one that you prefer.

I would go DD. However, in WG, it might be a different story.

What do you have and what do you like to wear? Your profile says you have a GMT already, so that alone would make me think Day-Date. Conversely if you love the more sport-casual look of the GMT, adding a PM reference to your (presumably) steel could work well.

I voted Day-Date because that’s what I like better, but it’s not my money :)

Start with the day date and work from there.

Personally I’d get the all gold variant of a watch that is only available in gold. And flirt with the other models on different metals.

I’d do dd40 gold, gmt chnr, ym40 slate and Daytona white dial.

Variation of wearability, complications, metals and bezels.

I’m of the opinion that you go Day Date for your first PM and then your second PM can be a sports model. That’s my plan, at least. Lol!

Personally, I love the RG olive dial Day Date and the gold submariner with a black dial and bezel. That’s my favorite 1-2 punch.

I love PM timepieces, they look gorgeous and very classy.

Go with the one that sings to you the most, if it will be only one PM Rolex, I think Day-Date would be the one to go for.

I am not a fan of full gold sports models. I voted for the DD40.

A Submariner with the Glidelock clasp. The DD is cool but no adjustability other than adding or removing links.

DD for sure. I think the Solid Griner is going to be the new Miami watch. Maybe that's what you're going for with the solid gold watch. I have the CHNR as my all gold watch and that's an incredible watch.

I love the GMT. I am a big DD fan but I lean to the platinum.
