DJ 41mm Running too Slow?

My DJ 41mm ref 126334, purchased in 2018, has been running a consistent 8-9 slow over the last month or two. As a more focused check, I spent the last week wearing it daily and getting the same results. Timegrapher shows it running 7 to 12 seconds slow, depending on position.

I took it to my AD, who also checked it in five positions on their timegrapher, and concluded that it was indeed running about 8 seconds slow. They seemed to think that was acceptable and that I should not bother having them send it to the RSC for a look.

My warranty ends in August, and -8 seconds seems too slow. Should I push my AD to send it to the RSC, or should I just accept the -8 problem?

If your warranty is about to end and it's out of spec, I would find another AD and request service. I would not take it back to the AD that thought it was okay to be running slow.

Yeah, -8 is slower than I would want to tolerate regardless of warranty timing, but with just a couple months to go I would absolutely have it sent in under warranty before that expires.

Surprised the AD advised otherwise....doesn't sound like a great AD.

Get it in for a service (under warranty), it will only get worse if you don't. Especially as you warranty is up soon, no brainer for me.

Personally I would trade it for another watch.
I’ve experienced this low amplitude issue with the 32series movement, returned to Rolex under warranty to be fixed and within 3 months of it coming back it was running slow again.
I don’t think they have a cure for the issue so if your watch is one of the many that do suffer just move in on imo

Get it taken care of while it's under warranty. After that you're own your own at $800 a visit.

As others have said, if it bothers you, send it in for service or regulation.

Agreed - have AD send to RSC for regulation while on warranty.

Absolutely!

If Rolex insists upon plastering "Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" on the dial, then the watch should perform within the specifications of one -- during the warranty period at the very least...

The problem here is based on the history of this movement it will happen again, this time when out of warranty.
