Tudor gold big block chrono for Only Watch '23

Looks like Tudor is moving away from using the B01 in its chronographs and developing their own.

a brand-new Manufacture Chronograph Calibre entirely developed by TUDOR. The prototype of this calibre, movement “number 0” in the development process, is found inside the TUDOR Prince Chronograph One. The new caliber, MT59XX, features column-wheel construction and meets all TUDOR Manufacture Calibre performance standards.

To start with, the MT59XX inside the watch is the very movement TUDOR solely developed as a prototype to pave the forward for TUDOR’s modern chronograph calibre.

The MT59XX retains TUDOR’s signature movement architecture and performance, including a traversing bridge fixed on both sides anchoring a silicon balance spring and variable inertia oscillator. Performance falls within typical TUDOR specifications as well, with a weekend-proof 70-hour power reserve and a tolerance range of 6 seconds (-2/+4)

Impressive stuff. Wish the full PM prince Chrono wasn’t an only watch. I would buy and wear it over a PM Daytona

it is a slimmer chrono movement. we will get a big block next year. tifiw.

This will certainly be released as a steel model. The movement R&D wouldn't have been just for Only Watch.

Everything about this is perfect–even the lack of a Cyclops isn't an issue on this (as it is with many other Tudors) because they went for a black date wheel. It even has a proper Oyster bracelet instead of the slightly-disproportionate Oyster-type they used on the Heritage chrono. I'm unreasonably excited by the return of the word PRINCE.

And yet… I'm angry at myself for being excited, because the publicly available version will almost certainly have a Snowflake hand, would probably lose the 'PRINCE' text, etc.

The angled view is the best. At least visually this handily blows away every ceramic Rolex.

If we get exactly this, except a steel case, but it's a huge 'if'. I'm very afraid the retail model will get a Snowflake hand (which would ruin it) or the Black Bay bracelet (which would clash, but just means you can wear it on a strap).

The key here is they kept is simple. Two colors. They kept the writing on the dial down. The black date window with no cyclops. Just a beautiful watch that does everything right. I really hope they produce something very similar and I think they will.

You do understand they are only making one these? Having said that, if they offered that in a white dial variant I would.

Beautiful! As usual Rolex is way ahead of the competitors, a 40mm Explorer at W&W and now a 42mm chrono. The "new" fashion for smaller watches has already ended and I can only agree with it.
