BLNR winding issue

Hey all, hope everyone is keeping well.

Just a question for everyone. I recently had a BLNR go back to Rolex for dust on the dial (second time, first time it was sent in for dust on the crystal).

Having received the watch back dust free this time, I noticed that the watch is extremely gritty and clicky to wind at full wind. I know what watches should feel like at full wind with the clutch slipping, as I have tested it on a cal 3285 that I have and it just feels tighter not gritty, at full wind.

With the BLNR I can feel a clicking when I unscrew the crown anticlockwise, and then it's smooth up to 40-50 winds, and then it starts to feel like winding a vintage piece, and I can clearly feel the clutch slip every few rotations.

Power reserve I spot on 74 hours (Full wind, watch untouched). Accuracy -2spd which is again perfect.

Any thoughts? I'm a flight away from the official RSC, but of course can send it back via my purchasing AD but if that's normal then I would just live with it.

This sounds normal to me. 50 times is almost a full wind so it’s the anti overwind what you feel i guess.

It is likely normal and watch is accurate. I am not sure why the need to wind more than 40 times. I always wind mine 40 times before I wear them if they are stopped.

Thanks. The first time I experienced this was the day after it came back from RSC, and I was trying to adjust the GMT hand. Guess they had wound it fully before I collected it.

Got it. It's just vastly different from my other watches. It's like winding an old vintage mechanical.

I don't see an issue and I would wear it and enjoy it. If something arises in the future then back it would go but until then, not.

Some barrels/springs will have a more defined slip at full wind, nothing to worry about.

Thanks for the input. It's surprising to me given how subtle the change is in the 3 other 32xx series of movements I've tried it on.

First there is no clutch all that happens when mainspring is fully wound up it just slips in the spring barrel.

I see. Mine just has a more pronounced slip then. Just watching videos on YouTube to understand how the mainspring works etc.

I usually don't even bother correcting it anymore, been trying for years but too many people still call it a clutch
