Rolex 6694 1215 vs 1225 movement?

Toying with the idea of picking up a manual wind Rolex 6694. Currently looking at a 1959 example with a 1215 movement in good shape at a nice price. I take pause in thinking about maintaining/servicing a watch of this vintage; parts availability (even aftermarket), cost, capable watchmakers.

From what I gather it seems the 1225 was the improved movement produced for most of the life of the 6694 all the way until the 80s. My question is am I limiting myself in some way going with the 1215 over the 1225 in terms of available parts or serviceability? It does seem (to me at least) the movements are related/similar in design.
