You are comparing a Day Date to a DJ??
Apples and Oranges...

If you have owned a DD you know there is no comparison between the two.

Are you asking about which dial you prefer or the overall watch?

Because if it's comparing the overall watch, then there is little comparison between the two.

I think it is dial colors only. I prefer the mint to the olive.

Honestly, it’s a bit difficult to take the premise of this poll seriously, in that it assumes the two are comparable. They aren’t.

Sorry. Just my view.

Yeah, it is really a case of apples to oranges.

But...I guess I would say that if I couldn't swing the DD and wanted something of that nature in the collection, the DJ wouldn't be a bad option.

Personally, the ultimate would be a DD with a mint dial. The olive is sublime and so classy, but I have a DJ41 with mint dial and I never get tired of staring into it. The mint may be my favorite dial ever; certainly on a DJ with the exception of the late 80's tapestry dial.

The DJ is really nice. Up to you if the DD is worth 4x the price.

If money were no object, of course the DD.

Going to take a slightly different interpretation of the OP's question, by making some assumptions not stated: Hypothetical purchaser can afford both a DD and a DJ and wants a single green dial watch.

When reframed like that, I'd absolutely take the DJ mint, because I slightly prefer that shade of green and would want something a bit more classic and subdued on a DD.

Ah, well, if we are talking two watches, that’s different. I’ll take the DJ with mint and DD in YG with silver dial.
