Checking the date of a Rolex

Fairly newbie here, got my first one last year, a 126613LN.

How do I find the actual manufacture date, i.e. did the AD have it in stock for a year before selling it.

I've seen some with date stamps on the clasp but cant see one on mine.

I’ve alway been under the impression that information is not available to the public.

I tried to date a Rolex. I was told there was a 5 year wait list.

That will be the date on the original warranty card.
New watches have random numbers and no way to date other than that

They are advertising the date the watch was purchased new, not the date of manufacture.

There has never been a exact date when any Rolex watch was made only a approx date when the case was stamped between X&Y years that was with the old single letter 6 number serials many serials overlap a year or so. Random serials started latter part of 2010 till present time but now a mixture letters numbers in any order but now 8 digits. And even the clasp codes not a 100% accurate date when the watch was made only when its was stamped between X&Y years and no matter the serial when bought new from any AD they get the same now 5 year warranty
