How Long (Realistically) Must One Wait for a Pepsi?
Welcome members best guesses. And, if you got one recently, how long did you wait? Thanks in advance for responses.

Sorry but how long is a piece of string I’m guessing everyone and everywhere is completely different. Purchase history? If you have a great relationship with your AD that could be very helpful if not ??

The answer is realistically - no wait. You can purchase grey right now as you read this message. I recently pulled the trigger on a grey 126710BLRO as my AD wanted 25k plus diamond spend over the cost of the watch; Essentially 36k out of pocket to get the watch.
I saved 16k and bought it grey. I get to enjoy it now rather than still have to wait for their next one that comes in. It's a silly game, your results may vary. |

My Response to the Queries
First, I do have a pretty good purchase history the AD -- several watches over years and one Rolex just last month. This AD has never asked me to purchase other pieces in order to jump the line to my desired watch. I have gone to the gray market in the past, when prices were realistic; however, I'm not willing to pay what I consider to be inflated mark-ups. That said, I have two Rolexes in my modest collection along with an Omega and three other micro brands -- I can wait but, not years. Again, thanks for the responses!

No purchase history. I collect vintage. Been waiting 5 years, or however long it has been out, with 2 ADs. I'll never get the call. I'm in the process of going grey, which I swored Id never do, now that the mark-up is down to 5-6k above MSRP+tax.

Fairly safe to say the odds of getting a stainless steel GMT II or Daytona at retail are basically zero unless you are a VIP customer.

From an AD it would take time and effort. I dont think you can walk into an AD and realistically be put on a waiting list for a Pepsi without building up a purchase history first. They may tell you your on a list but the shipments of these are few and far between and the customers with the best history will always get the call first.
Or you can go Grey and have it tomorrow. |

As already mentioned it completely varies. My experience was once I purchased 3 other (non professional watches over a two year period) I got my Pepsi within a few months.

Someone beat me to it .. You don't have to wait at all. There's plenty of them on the secondary market. The prices are much lower now vs last year.
If this is the only Rolex that you are after I would suggest you to start throwing some offers to the sellers and buy it this week! There's literally 0% chance you will get assigned with Pepsi in the next couple of years if you have modest purchase history or no history at all. |

I have a purchase history with a local AD, and was told I realistically could get a Batman on Jubilee within the next year. But all bets are off for a Pepsi. So Pepsi is definitely on a different tier...
Also, for the guys saying no wait if you go secondary, that's just not the same thing. Everyone understands you can buy one on the secondary market. . |

2 years and still waiting. Unlike Daytona, one can dream of Pepsi and it is doable, but just too long of a wait.
I believe strong purchase history can reduce your wait significantly to maybe ~6 months-1 year. |

In your part of the country it might be a very long time unfortunately.
You never know though, so keep popping in to your favourite AD to let them know you’re interested and serious. Best of luck |

I bit the bullet in February went grey for a like new w stickers full set. I had to trade my black dial 116520 but I wanted more color in my small rotation.

I can’t comment on the Pepsi and have been turned away from everywhere in the uk so far and Seddiqi in Dubai just this week (will be visiting October. Thought why not).
However a buddy of mine got a BLNR in the uk with no spend history for his 50th within about a year to 13 months. Just through being enthusiastic, no BS, turning down a CHNR in between etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Depends who you are, if you are the Sultan, they come to you. If you are a sports star, you can walk in and buy one. If you are a nobody (like me), you'll need to buy grey because you're just not getting one this decade unless you spend six figures on jewellery and watches.

It depends... I've placed my name on the waiting list for a Pepsi at 5 different ADs August last year (local and overseas where I have previous purchases since 2005). Got the call in June and flew to Austria a couple of weeks ago to pick my Pepsi. My previous purchases from them - Smurf (2015) and Starbucks (2022). I did got a call back from my 2 local ADs in Canada, but they are offering different models (OP and Explorer II) which I politely declined :)

If it's a good AD, maybe 4 years?

In my experience “the list” doesn’t exist
I’ve been on it for a Pepsi for about 4 years now with purchase history of 3 previous watches, given up now with the AD nonsense games so took my name of any interest, just buy what I want whenever I want pre owned, many models now available below retail otherwise look at other brands of which there are so many better!

I didn't purchase used when prices were lower than retail and certainly wouldn't pay over. I just like having the new watch experience I suppose. Only exception I make is for vintage/discontinued but I haven't actually bought any used watches yet. Nothing wrong with only buying new.

This is not a one-size-fits-all scenario. Too many variables. You won't get a reliable answer, other than "you probably won't get it."
